11 April 2011 marks the last day of my service in NTU after good 4 years. I must admit that I have very nice and great colleagues since i joined the workforce. The first permanent job was in Pioneer Sector Road and i was working in a very small office. We are always able to leave on time without needing to work OT unless there is a big shipment from other department which requires our assistance, but only for less than 1 week in a year. Working OT with the gals is also considered a chitchat session to know more about one another. I have to leave the company a year later 'cos of the overseas posting of hubby's job. NTU is my 2nd permanent job after returning from france. Similarly, i am lucky enough to work with nice colleagues in our department. Now i am starting to miss them already!
It's about 3 weeks since i am a SAHM. Am really busier than working lor..I am working only 8hrs at work but 24hrs at home. It is really rather tiring but i am happy with looking after the small one. Her smile dissolves all the tiredness and grumblings in me. What a cutie pie, haa..
On the other hand, i do have second thoughts at times. Did i make the right choice? Definitely i love to see my daughter grow and well nurtured, and i have no qualms about that. The only thought is i do feel like a maid sometimes, there are endless things to do and it comes one after another, be it baby stuffs or household chores. It seems like eternity. Body seems to be struggling to work hard for the family and i wonder when will i drain out all my energy. Secondly, staying at home makes me like the world is only hubby, baby and me. Gosh, i feel so outcasted from the outside world. Now i know why SAHM 是伟大的!
I need some air all by myself one of these days..

Update again~
Im back again!
Baby's sleeping, hubby went to work and i just bathed out, so managed to find time to update my blog. :)
A short update of Elyse here:
She now weighs 6.7kg at her 3 and quarter months. She is slightly overweight at 90 percentile as what the PD said. But it is ok, as long as we give her normal feed and she is growing well, there is nothing to worry about. :) Initially, i am still worried if she is feeding enough as i have only latched her on for 8-15mins each time and not able to gauge how much she actully took. Now, she started to take expressed milk almost in her every feed after i started work. She drinks between 70ml - 120ml at each feed, at about 7 times a day. PD says the volume is ok. So happy and relieved to hear that. I think i will continue to give her expressed milk when i stopped working, at least i won't get paranoid if she is hungry whenever she cries. =D
(Baby half awake, heard her sucking thumb, went to feed her before i return to continue my blog)
She took 120ml expressed milk tonight, hehe..am going to bed very soon after i finished updating. Let me briefly update my weekend.
Sat:
Had breakfast with hubby at home. Hubby went out to work.
Bathed baby, feed her milk, tuck her to bed
Put our laundry to wash, handwashed baby's laundry, iron clothes, quick wipe of a window, wipe the floor.
Prepared and had lunch with hubby.
Baby awakes and talk to her for about an hour b4 she is fed and asleep again.
Out to Chinatown point to run errand and for dinner, short walk at Robertson Walk.
(Believe me, carrying 6.7kg around is no fun!)
Car-drive around Buona Vista see see look look around the area.
Home Sweet Home
Sun:
Went to Boon Lay for prata breakfast with hubby. Little one sleeping on my arms. (Didn't take stroller since it will be a eat & go)
Go back home bathe baby. Feed her and tuck her to bed.
Prepare fish porridge and had lunch with hubby.
Handwashed baby clothes. Hubby out for work.
Prepare dinner and had dinner with hubby.
Went Jurong Point for a short walk.
That ends the day with my blogging here!
I enjoyed my weekend with hubby and baby elyse. She is always with us wherever we go. Who says you cannot patoh when you have a baby??? Its an additional joy to us although it can be tiring bringing her around. =)
This is the quality life i've always wanted. =)

Stop blogging?
First entry for Year 2011!
Well, i am considering to stop my blog, as i find that i have simply nothing much to update, or rather lazy to turn on my pc and sit down for that few minutes to update my blog. What do you think?
Perhaps a quick update for the blog here.
My lovely girl, Elyse Lim was born on 18 Nov 2010, weighing only 2.36kg at her 37th week. She is now into her 3rd month, weighing at 4.89kg, height 54.6cm from our last checkup. She is really a dear to us even though we have been a slave for her feeds, diaper changes, bathes and the sleepless nights. Catch up more on her photos via my facebook!
Things are all going well as i can feel a great bonding between baby and myself by looking after her all by myself and of cause with the help of my dear hubby too. Going back to work at the end of Feb, so soon! How i wish i can be a SAHM! Have the intention of quitting liao, so we shall see yeah? hehe..
Till then, if i am still blogging.. =)
